Founder, Director of Creative Disruption | Certified Life Coach
I grew up an at-risk youth and got myself into all types of trouble in my younger years. I never liked the feeling of people speaking down to me, and found myself pushing back every time an “authority figure” attempted to bark orders. My rebellious spirit helped in some ways, but held me back in others. Over the years, I worked in retail, service, finance, entertainment but didn’t find anything that excited me. Throughout life I met too many people doing things that didn’t fulfill them. One day, I decided that I would not become one of them. But my lack of interest in conformity left me confused and overwhelmed about my next steps. As many confused and lost young people do, I went to college.
But it wasn’t until 2008, when I found myself in rural Cuba, that I first caught a glimpse of living wide. As a celebration for graduating business school, I planned a little Caribbean vacation with friends. But on the day of our departure, I came to the embarrassing realization that my minimal travel experience had me overlook a crucial element: my passport’s expiry date. I missed my flight but swore to my friends that I would find a way to get there. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to negotiate a new passport in just two hours. I then made a life-changing decision: to hop on the next flight to Cuba and hitchhike to my resort. With no map, no guide, no ride, no plan, and no understanding of Spanish, I somehow managed to reach my final destination. I traveled hundreds of miles on the back of chicken trucks by relying on the good faith of locals, who seemed to truly appreciate my adventurous spirit and vote of trust. Needless to say, the experience was personally and professionally transformational. I arrived at my resort 13 hours later, healthy, happy, and with lots of stories to share. I didn’t really know it yet, but it was at that precise moment that Widism® was born.
In the following years, on my quest for wide experiences, I got my motorcycle license, went skydiving, hand-gliding and dirt-biking, backpacked in Egypt, visited both coasts of Mexico, acquired my advanced scuba diving certification in Grenada, tagged sharks for scientific research in the Bahamas, explored Cuba three more times, spent months backpacking in South East Asia, hiked the beautiful Bryce Canyon region of Southern Utah, and road-tripped 8000km across America. During that time I also managed to attain my professional coaching certification with the International Coach Academy (ICA).
Now, I’m a happy Widist – but I also believe, as George Bernard Shaw put it, that “we have no more right to consume happiness without producing it than to consume wealth without producing it.” I’m a passionate social entrepreneur and truly believe that conscious businesses can and will improve the world. In 2010, after noticing my passion for social entrepreneurship, David Lockett, the founder and visionary of the PACT Urban Peace Program, asked me to become PACT’s Social Innovator & Global Advocate. In addition, over the last 2 years I’ve been very fortunate to become a member of the Summit community, a Global Engagement Summit Alumni, an Ashoka Changemaker, and a Starting Bloc Fellow.
Today, I’m an inspired life and transition coach committed to helping others achieve personal and professional freedom through fulfilling career paths and entrepreneurship, all while finding ways to meaningfully experience and give back to the world.

On November 27th, 2010, I lost my best friend Adrian “Littles” Rybicki. A charismatic comedian, natural leader, passionate wildlife lover, adventurous thrill seeker, and a total Widist – to say he’s a rare soul is an understatement. The countless memories we shared over 15 years have had a huge influence on who I am today. My mission to improve the world and help people live wider is dedicated to Littles and to all those who miss his powerful presence. Boyz 4 Life.
