Co-founder | Certified Life Coach
I grew up in a family of business professors and entrepreneurs. After high school, feeling the pressure to follow in my family’s footsteps, I decided to choose a different path than most. At 18, I moved to the Bahamas to work on an 81-foot schooner sailboat called the Qeewatin. It was a great eye-opening experience and I fell in love with traveling. Soon after returning home a year later, I left again to Europe traveling the Greek Islands and Holland. But this time when I came back, something was different – I was ambitious and focused. Encouraged by friends, I decided to pursue a career in the entertainment and hospitality industry. It seemed like a place where my people skills could finally pay off.
Ten long years passed and I eventually worked my way from the bottom of the totem pole all the way up to partner. During my later years in the industry, I also invested in a variety of other businesses. The journey was educational and fun (with ups and downs of course)… but something wasn’t right. Gradually, I felt more and more unfulfilled. Disappointing partnerships and bad investments left a bad taste in my mouth, and after a few mind-widening experiences I began to realize that there’s much more to life than simply being a businessman. The realization was not an easy one to accept. But when I did, it was liberating!
Soon after that breakthrough, I was fortunate enough to be invited by one of my mentors to attend Summit at Sea where I was lucky enough to meet hundreds of social entrepreneurs and innovators from around the world. THIS was an eye opener! I had no idea great things like this were going on in the world. At that moment I knew for certain – conscious entrepreneurship was calling me.
The transition from an industry I knew well to one I knew nothing about was incredibly exciting, challenging, and uncomfortable at the same time. I had to learn how to brush-off criticism and overcome my self-doubt. But eventually, I was able to rediscover my passion for helping others and confidently move towards a new-found purpose. Today I’m a certified life coach committed to helping others excel during tough times of transition, so that they too can pursue what’s most meaningful to them, and what they were meant to do in life.

A Living Example for…
After working in the nightclub & entertainment industry for ten years, I made a huge leap-of-faith transitioning into the coaching profession. Although many supported me, many also projected their own self-doubt onto my new endeavours, either because they didn’t get it, thought it was too risky, or would’ve enjoyed seeing me fail. Thankfully, I didn’t listen to their “concerns”. Today, I dedicate Widism® to all those who feel stuck in lives and jobs that are no longer fulfilling and see no way out. I hope to live by example and inspire others that it CAN be done!
